California American Water Customers to Receive Bill Credit in Geyserville

SACRAMENTO, Calif.
Company to provide customers a meter-based credit over the next two-months
SACRAMENTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--California American Water announced today that they are providing customers in the Geyserville water system a bill credit based on the size of their meter on their October and November bills. The refund is being issued as a result of delays with the California Public Utilities Commission approval of the company’s 2016 general rate case.
Due to the delay in the CPUC’s final decision, most customers can expect to see a credit on their October and November bills. For the average customer in the Geyserville water system this credit will be $54.46 per month on their October and November bills.
“California American Water continues to invest in the infrastructure needed to ensure clean, safe, reliable water and wastewater services to its customers,” said Rich Svindland, president of California American Water. “I’m pleased that we are able to provide a substantial credit to our customers over the next two months due to our efforts to operate efficiently and keep our costs down.”
The one-time refund reflects the amount collected in revenues versus the revenue that the CPUC approved in the company’s 2016 general rate case that was filed in June of that year. Most California American Water customers will continue to pay about a penny per gallon. Customers will be notified of these credits with a message on their bills.
